長春龍嘉空港から吉林駅まで高速鉄道を利用し、そこからタクシーで約10分でホテルに到着。移動時間を無駄にすることなくスムーズに移動できました。車から降りるとすぐにドアマンが私のブリーフケースとノートパソコンバッグを受け取り、ロビーへと案内してくれました。高い天井は、ビジネスホテルにありがちな堅苦しさを全く感じさせません。大理石の床に温かい照明が反射し、隅から流れる柔らかなピアノの音色が、疲れた呼吸さえも落ち着かせてくれました。チェックインは予想以上に早く、2分もかからずにルームキーを受け取ることができました。会議室へのエレベーターが東側にあることを、わざわざ教えてくれたので、明日の朝の会議のために遠回りする必要がありませんでした。こうした細やかな気遣いのおかげで、見知らぬ街での不安がすぐに和らぎました。
